Water | Water Sphere, Suffolk
This water sphere was designed specifically for its setting within a Suffolk garden, positioned at the point where three paths converge.
Formed from hand-shaped slate, the sphere sits above a stainless steel dish which collects and recirculates the water. The reflective surface introduces a changing element beneath the sculpture, responding to light, movement and the surrounding planting.
The space and the sculpture were developed together, allowing the piece to sit naturally within the landscape while maintaining a clear focal point when viewed from the house. The circular lawn and surrounding planting frame the work and give it definition within the wider garden.
Works of this nature can be adapted in scale and detail to suit individual locations.
