Limited Edition Bronze | Bronze Leaf
My sculpture Leaf takes its starting point from a form that is both universally familiar and fundamentally essential. Leaves, without which we as humans would cease to exist, are infinitely abundant and have long been used to symbolise life, renewal, hope and change across cultures.
In creating Leaf, I sought to distil these ideas into a sculptural form that feels balanced and assured. Rather than producing a literal representation, the sculpture is abstracted into a gently twisting, three-sided form. This triangular structure is a deliberate nod to strength and stability, allowing the work to feel grounded even as it rises and turns through space. The form tapers with precision towards a fine vertex, introducing a sense of movement that echoes the natural behaviour of a leaf responding to air and light.
Each bronze Leaf is cast using traditional methods and finished by hand, resulting in a richly patinated surface that responds subtly to light. The works shown here range in scale from refined interior pieces to larger garden sculptures, including examples at 117 cm in height, displayed on plinths within gallery settings.
Leaf has also been presented as part of my own award-winning trade stand at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where its clarity of form allowed it to sit confidently within a highly curated landscape context. The same limited edition work has since been installed on a bespoke plinth within a luxury London apartment, demonstrating the sculpture’s ability to transition seamlessly between exhibition, exterior and interior settings.
Leaf in bronze is realised in exclusive limited editions, available from smaller works suitable for interiors through to larger garden and architectural pieces, with the form capable of being scaled to monumental proportions. Versions of Leaf have also been created in mirror polished stainless steel, including editions approaching 3 metres in height.
Each bronze sculpture is signed, dated and individually numbered, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Whether encountered in a garden, gallery, or interior space, Leaf is intended as a contemplative work, one that reflects the enduring strength and significance of its natural counterpart.
