Continuum is a sculpture that explores the cyclical nature of the world around us; time and tides, the lunar cycle, the rhythm of day and night, the seasons and life itself. These repeating phenomena, constant yet ever-changing, form the conceptual foundation of the work.

The form is based on a Möbius loop: a surface with no beginning and no end, where inside and outside become one. This continuous geometry embodies the idea of perpetual renewal and the unity of opposites. A gentle twist gives rise to three distinct faces, a subtle reference to strength and balance, while the form tapers with precision towards a fine vertex.

When viewed from the front, Continuum takes on the appearance of a crescent moon; a deliberate nod to the lunar cycle and its associations with time, rhythm and transformation. As the viewer moves around the sculpture, the form continually resolves and reconfigures, offering a different point of focus from every angle and encouraging the work to be experienced in the round.

At its current scale, Continuum is suited to interior settings, gallery environments, or placement on a plinth where its geometry can be read clearly. These works are cast in bronze using the lost wax process, allowing for a high degree of surface refinement and control.

Larger-scale versions of Continuum are envisioned. While such works would be produced using traditional sand-casting methods, these editions have not yet been realised. The form has been developed with this future scalability in mind, ensuring its sense of balance and continuity can be retained as the sculpture grows in scale.

Each bronze Continuum is produced in exclusive limited editions. Every piece is finished by hand, signed, dated and individually numbered, and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
